Wailuku, Hawaii, October 6, 2014 – Certified Sounds President and Founder, Derek Pace, has been elected to the Board of Industry Leaders for the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA®). At CEA’s recent INNOVATE!℠conference in Phoenix, Arizona, the general membership meeting voted unanimously to bring Pace and other industry visionaries to the CEA Board of Industry Leaders group.
The elevation to the CEA Board of Industry Leaders is another step in Pace’s efforts to represent the independent 12-volt retailer. Since 2011, Derek has been an active member on CEA’s Automotive Electronics Division (AED) Board and regularly travels to numerous 12-volt industry trade shows and events representing the interest of independent 12-volt retailers. Pace’s participation in CEA’s visits to Capitol Hill in Washington, DC for Lobby Day is instrumental in looking out for the independent retailer point-of-view.
Often asked if the time, expense and travel to be a CEA Board Member is all worth it, Pace enthusiastically responds “yes, most definitely because CEA involvement has helped shape my vision for our place in the industry’s future and also by building valued business relationships.” Pace plans to continue identifying growth opportunities for the 12-volt independent specialist retailer through his participation on CEA’s AED Board and Board of Industry Leaders.
