Keeping Maui Safer with Rear Seat Entertainment Systems

headrest-monitors

Have you ever been on a trip with kids and couldn’t wait to get out of the car? Are you tired of constantly heard the phrase “are we there yet?” We feel your pain. Not only can rear seat chatter be annoying, it is also a dangerous distraction for the driver.  Here at Certified Sounds we sell a wide variety of rear seat entertainment solutions that will keep everyone entertained whether it is just a short jaunt or a long excursion. Let’s explore the different types of systems we offer and some popular options.

Overhead Video

Overhead video systems are a popular option that come in multiple screen sizes and get mounted in the ceiling.  Even people in the third-row seat can be entertained with an overhead video system. They come equipped with wireless headphones so the passengers can listen to the video while the driver and front seat passenger enjoy their music from the car stereo system.

Headrest Video

Headrest video systems come in two styles, replacement headrests, and seat-back systems. Most vehicles have the option for custom matched, replacement headrest that comes with one or two integrated DVD players inside the LCD monitors. Two DVD players allow the passengers to watch the same video, or if the need arises, two different videos can be shown. Each passenger can have their own wireless headphone with individual volume control. Some newer vehicles use what is called Active Restraint Systems where the headrest moves to help protect the passengers in a collision. In these vehicles, we offer a seat-back solution where the LCD monitor gets attached right behind the headrest, so it does not affect the safety system. It works just like the replacement headrest systems described above.

Rear Seat Entertainment

We labeled our video systems “Rear Seat Entertainment” systems.  That is because we offer not just a video screen and DVD player.  We can further expand the capabilities of that equipment to integrate with the client’s existing entertainment devices. Here are some popular options we offer for rear seat entertainment systems:

  • Integrating the audio from the entertainment systems into the factory stereo system so all the passengers can enjoy the sound.
  • Adding a game port to allow video game systems to be played in the vehicle. They also work well for streaming video devices such as tablets or Smartphones.
  • Adding a permanently installed power inverter for a video game or streaming video device

One of the things that separates Certified Sounds from everyone else is our unique client relationship. We do things a little differently around here. We like to get together with you and your vehicle. We will go out to your vehicle with you and look it over together, and then go back inside and get to know your needs as well. At that point, we will offer customized solutions that we feel will best suit your unique needs. In our opinion this is the only way to guarantee our clients the best performing, most satisfying installations. We invite you to call us, Contact Us or even better, stop by with your vehicle. We would love to get to know you better.
